CAN A PARENT DISOWN THEIR CHILD BECAUSE THEY MAKE A MISTAKE OR TWO?

What kind of parent would abandon their children because they weren’t perfect? Certainly a parent isn’t happy when their child is doing harmful and hurtful things to themselves and/or to others. And for sure, parents won’t help their child to do bad things. Also, would a good parent want to inflict horrible pain on their child, for not being perfect enough?

Would good human parents want to administer horrible pain consistently and for eternity upon their children, even if their children are adults? Where did the love go? For parents to condemn their less than perfect child to this kind of eternal torture, they could never be called good, or loving, or true parents. They would have to be classified as being the most insidiously cruel, inhumanely vindictive, unforgiving, and the most unmerciful beings in the universe.

Now is the time for us to know the true heart of our loving Heavenly Parent God. Even for earthly parents, concerning their children, what’s more important? To punish their young adult problem child, or patiently, prayerfully, and lovingly try to help their child from behind the scenes in every possible way?

The God I know and love sets the standard of what it means to be an ideal True Parent. The God I know is a God of absolute, true, eternal, unchanging, and unconditional love. Therefore, God’s love for His children will never change or end, and He will never abandon us, even when we make mistakes.

This does not in the least negate the fact that absolutely everyone will have to reap what they have sown. If not in this world, then in the next. No one can escape from receiving what they deserve whether good or bad. God’s principles are fair and just, but His love remains eternal and unconditional.

In a sense, it’s not God that we should fear. Instead, we should be afraid of ourselves or of the actions we perform. Therefore, we should always render loving service unto others, while maintaining a grateful, honest, truthful, and loving heart for God, for the creation, and for all of humankind.

We must deeply know and understand that God will never disown or abandon us because we make a few mistakes. And, that God is always ready to help us the minute we decide to go in the right direction. This is the true heart of our loving Heavenly Parent God.
